Long absence

Reading Time: < 1 minute

I’m pretty sure I’m the only one who reads this blog, but that aside I should explain that I am in the process of creating a language centre in France, not that it’s a real excuse at to why I haven’t continued my writing, I have had plenty of time to watch TV shows and waste my time on other pursuits.

The school is still in a fragile state and we are slowly gathering students, the concept of the community has not completely left me, I think my ideas have matured a lot since I wrote them down but I shall continue to write up my original thoughts on a more regular basis.

More to the fact, running an educational institution, or any kind of business at all, is going to be a very useful experience to help me consolidate and clarify my thoughts as to how the community might be able to work.

About the author

Born in England, now living in France. Studied computer science and electronics at university, now running a language school in Toulouse.

I've worked as a developer, teacher, bartender, waiter, cook, cleaner, shop clerk, produce manager & now director. If I had my way, I'd add astronaut to that list but it's going to be tricky.

    1. I am so sorry that I haven’t responded to this, not only did I fail to continue writing my blog I didn’t even see this comment in the flood of emails that I have been receiving!

I hope you can forgive me, yes I am in Toulouse still, my business – Jardin Culturel – operates in the center of town between St Sernin and Metro Jeanne D’arc 16 Rue St Bernard, come over whenever you can and we’ll have a coffee and catch up.

It’s a language school (of course) but we are attempting to be very different from the others by building a community of students and a social club attached to the school which anyone can join. We have a meetup group here http://www.meetup.com/conversation-en-anglais/

Hope to see you soon, will be great to be back in touch,

      James
